The Balancebox offers effortless displacement of furniture. New furniture concepts become realisable and existing furniture will be more functional.

USER FRIENDLY

Easy use, soundproof, safe and fast

An innovative spring system makes high-low applications user-friendly and intuitive for the end consumer. The spring system in the Balancebox compensates gravity: the weight is balanced instead of lifted. Consequently, the furniture feels weightless.

MAINTENANCE FREE

The vertical displacement is driven by springs, therefore the systems needs no external power for the vertical displacement.
The springs, selected with special engineered software, have a lifetime performance. Furthermore, the linear bearing is firm and reliable.

SIMPLE MOUNTING

The Balancebox consist of two thin slidable parts.
The back part can easily be mounted on a wall or frame, by the use of two bolts (step 1). If needed, you can fine-tune the position for uneven walls (step 2).
In the next step (3), the application (e.g. microwave cabinet) can be mounted to the front part of the Balancebox.
The final step (4) is to adjust the weight of the application.

EASY ADJUSTABLE

Few steps with standard tools

The Balancebox is adjustable for different weights, by relieving or tensioning the springs with the use of a nut.
You only need a standard box-spanner or a battery-drilling machine to adjust. You will notice immediately when the balance is restored, because the application will feel weightless.

The adjustment range depends on the type of the Balancebox (see specifications).

TYPES & SPECIFICATIONS

Different Balancebox types will be produced.

Three different standard executions:

• BBB
  The Balancebox for fixed weights (any weight between min and max) that can be freely positioned.
• BBL
  The Balancebox with lock for fixed weights (any weight between min and max), fitted with a brake function to stop and hold the movement at every position of the extension.
• BBE
  The Balancebox equipped with an electronical system that automatically adjusts for every weight change between the min and max ranges of the chosen springset. The weight is always balanced. The BBE can be fitted with a remote control or auto return function, which brings the application back to the original position.

Range:

The Balancebox 400 measures: 558 x 600 x 70 mm (W x H x D) and has an extension of 400 mm. The weight that can be balanced depends on the different spring sets (see graph/table above). Every weight between the minimum and maximum value of the chosen spring set can be balanced.

The Balancebox is a system that neutralises gravity for vertical moving applications attached to it. A robust linear bearing and a patented spring system make for example furniture pieces weightless and very easy to move. The Balancebox offers the possibility to move heavy weights in a feather light way.

The Balancebox and Balancebox Lock can be ordered in the fourth quarter of 2009. The Intelligent version of the Balancebox can be ordered from the quarter 1 of 2010.
